A patient problem revealed an infrastructure problem.
ScriptPath Labs was founded in 2026 by software engineer John Morton.
The company began with a practical question: why should a patient with a valid prescription still have to navigate repeated calls, uncertain hand-offs and disconnected pharmacy channels to find a path to fulfilment?
John's perspective was shaped in part by his experience as a cancer patient and survivor. Navigating healthcare from the patient side made the fragmentation between systems tangible and reinforced the importance of preserving patient intent while respecting the authority, responsibilities and operational realities of healthcare professionals.
As ScriptPath developed, the opportunity became broader than a patient application. The deeper need was for an independent coordination layer connecting patient intent with pharmacy-controlled fulfilment.
That insight became the foundation of ScriptPath—and the wider company thesis behind ScriptPath Labs.

John Morton is a software engineer and product founder with experience across Microsoft .NET, Azure cloud platforms, web and mobile applications, distributed data and integration architecture.
He combines hands-on engineering with product and system design, working from user experience through to cloud infrastructure and operational delivery.
At ScriptPath Labs, John leads product direction, platform architecture, digital-health integration and the development of strategically aligned industry relationships.
